Sony Xperia Snowboard Fest celebrates its 15th anniversary!
Snowboard Fest has changed during the 14 years of its existence from the small local competition to the biggest event in Slovakia of its category. Guarantee of quality of this event is a fact that each year an increasing number of competitors from abroad come to the competition (SWE, FIN, NOR, SWISS, GER, NL, PL, CZ).
Snowboard Fest is ranked as WST International Level event! The competition was added into the calendar of the biggest and the most prestigious snowboard tour in the world. Only top events in the world have the International Level event status – one of them in Slovakia!
Snowboard Fest was first accepted by the World Snowboard Tour back in 2007 as 2 Star Event, the following year it increased its credit to 3 Star level that was kept until 2010. Currently Snowboard Fest belongs to the top of the snowboard competitions in the world!
18:00 – 21:00 Practice
22:00 – 22:30 Riders meeting + registration
10:00 – 12:00 Riders registration
14:30 – 15:00 Riders meeting
15:00 – 16:30 Practice / Qualification – only registered riders
Terms of qualifications: Jam session form. To advance to the semi-finals rider must do at least backside or frontside rotation 720. Rotations less then 720 will not be sufficient for the semi-finals. All riders those meet the conditions of qualification will advance to the semi-finals.
17:15 – 17:30 Riders meeting
17:30 – 18:30 Semi-finals
Terms of the Finals: Every rider has any number of attempts. The rider will choose two attempts by himself those will be judged to advance to the Finals. The rider must report every judged attempt to the starter. Only this trick will be judged by the judges.
19:00 – 19:30 The Finals
10 riders advance to the Finals.
Every riders has 3 jumps in the Finals. The two best will be counted.
19:30 – exhibition – Finnish ride (10 riders from the Finals)
19: 45 – the result announcement / prize ceremony
Note: The organizer reserves the right to give two wild cards from the qualification to the semifinals.
