French rider Sophie Rodriguez learned to snowboard at the age of six with her father at her local ski resort, Les-Sept-Laux.
Sophie has been very successful in halfpipe competitions in the last few years. She is a two-time Olympian (in Vancouver she got fifth), and in 2010 she won bronze at the X Games Europe. She’s been on the podium of contests like the O’Neill Evolution or the Burton New Zealand Open. Sophie is also among the few riders who are capable of stomping 900s, frontside 720 rodeos and switch tricks in her runs, making her one of the best halfpipe riders in the female snowboarding world.
